Job Description:
This job is responsible for developing and delivering complex requirements to accomplish business goals. Key responsibilities of the job include ensuring that software is developed to meet functional, non-functional and compliance requirements, and solutions are well designed with maintainability/ease of integration and testing built-in from the outset. Job expectations include a strong knowledge of development and testing practices common to the industry and design and architectural patterns.
Overview of Business Area
The Equity Linked Technology group within Global Markets provides development and support for the Equity Derivatives business globally. The product sets include Structured Notes, with functions spanning pricing, execution, trade capture, and lifecycle processing.
Team
The role is part of the Product Modelling & Data Capture initiative, a key capability of the Structured Notes strategic buildout program. The team is responsible for defining a common set of heuristics, data models, and applications for structured products, serving as the central hub for the new platform buildout across origination and manufacturing workflows. Operating in a fast-paced, growing business line, the team adheres to Agile delivery methodologies with frequent incremental releases. The technology stack includes Java, Python and React , offering opportunities to work closely with front-office stakeholders and directly influence the success of the platform.
Job Profile Summary
The Full Stack Software Engineer will work across sales and trading applications, collaborating directly with technology teams and front-office stakeholders to drive change and align the technology stack globally. Structured Products are a key revenue driver for the organization, and the current platform is fragmented across regions and functional lines. This role is critical in navigating the complexities of IT architecture and delivering scalable solutions across product creation, workflow orchestration, sales and trading parameter management, and related structured notes capabilities in a dynamic environment.
This role is suited to a Full Stack Software Engineer with experience building enterprise-wide applications in a front-office financial services domain. The successful candidate will work directly with Front Office stakeholders to design and implement solutions that enhance and expand the Structured Products technology platform, with a focus on full-stack engineering across backend services, user interfaces, and platform integration for the US regional business.
Responsibilities:
- Codes solutions and unit test to deliver a requirement/story per the defined acceptance criteria and compliance requirements
- Designs, develops, and modifies architecture components, application interfaces, and solution enablers while ensuring principal architecture integrity is maintained
- Mentors other software engineers and coach team on Continuous Integration and Continuous Development (CI-CD) practices and automating tool stack
- Executes story refinement, definition of requirements, and estimating work necessary to realize a story through the delivery lifecycle
- Performs spike/proof of concept as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideas
- Automates manual release activities
- Designs, develops, and maintains automated test suites (integration, regression, performance)
- Design and implement backend software solutions using Java, Python, within the structured products pre-trade domain.
- Develop and enhance React user interfaces, ensuring clean API contracts and integration with backend services.
- Define, evolve, and maintain structured products data models, product definitions, and JSON-based schemas supporting product creation workflows.
- Contribute to system design and architecture decisions for a globally distributed front-office platform spanning origination, manufacturing, and workflow orchestration capabilities.
- Play an active role in defining and evolving development best practices in the team.
Required Qualifications:
• Strong professional experience with Java, Python, or another object-oriented language.
• Experience designing and implementing JSON RESTful APIs, including versioning and backward compatibility.
• Experience building modern web applications using React and TypeScript.
• Experience with containerization and platform deployment technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong understanding and exposure to object-oriented practices and principles.
• Hands-on experience with automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and modern software delivery practices.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience delivering business-critical applications in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.
Desired Qualifications:
• Familiarity with financial services, particularly structured notes, structured products origination, and equity derivatives.
• Knowledge of front-office sales and trading workflows.
• Familiarity with workflow orchestration, messaging, or event-driven systems.
• Experience leading technical initiatives.
• 2+ years of relevant work experience
• Proficiency in programming language(s) required for the role

Pay range
$102,900.00 - $179,900.00 annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set.
Discretionary incentive eligible
This role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary plan. Employees are eligible for an annual discretionary award based on their overall individual performance results and behaviors, the performance and contributions of their line of business and/or group; and the overall success of the Company.
