Description
Deliver trusted Party Central client reference data across lines of business through disciplined execution, controls, and timely SLAs.Strengthen resilience by leading workflow, risk management, and continuous improvement to reduce defects and improve turnaround times.
As a Reference Data Manager within Party Reference Data Operations, you lead day-to-day Party Central setup, maintenance, and client account updates across multiple business lines and locations. You ensure authorized, accurate, and consistent data actions by validating documentation, managing workflow and SLAs/TAT, and coordinating upstream/downstream dependencies across teams and systems. You drive a strong controls environment and operational resilience by leading escalations, managing risk and evidence, partnering with Business/Ops/Tech/Compliance, and delivering continuous improvement while developing team performance.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead daily Party Central operations for client setup, maintenance, and account updates, ensuring throughput and SLA/TAT delivery.
- Validate documentation and request authorization, delivering accurate, complete, and consistent updates aligned to agreed data standards.
- Coordinate upstream/downstream dependencies across teams and impacted systems, removing blockers and ensuring smooth change execution.
- Enforce adherence to internal policies, regulatory expectations, and SOPs, driving corrective actions for deviations and maintaining version control.
- Execute operational risk management by ensuring controls (access, approvals, SoD, evidence retention, testing) are performed and monitored.
- Drive escalations by triaging, investigating, and closing issues with clear ownership, action plans, and maintained issue/exception logs.
- Improve processes through simplification, automation, templates/checklists, and defect theme management, tracking measurable impact on cycle time and quality.
Required qualifications, skills and capabilities
- Strong experience managing client reference data operations across multiple LOBs/locations, including Party Central setup and maintenance
- Proven SLA/workflow ownership with strong prioritization, throughput management, and dependency coordination across teams and systems
- Strong controls and operational risk discipline, including approvals, evidence retention, testing, and escalation management
- Strong stakeholder management, analytical capability, and communication skills with ability to lead teams through coaching, feedback, and performance management
Preferred qualifications, skills and capabilities
- Experience driving continuous improvement and automation, including templates/checklists and measurable defect/cycle-time reduction
- Demonstrated capability managing peaks, coverage planning, and continuity through backup models and capacity constraint management
- Experience maintaining SOP governance, issue/exception logs, and root-cause theme tracking to closure
- Experience partnering with Compliance and Technology to clarify requirements, resolve breaks, and strengthen controls
