Description
About this role:Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Sourcing Consultant to join the Strategic Sourcing Team as part of the Chief Administrative Office (CAO). This individual will lead contract negotiations and manage supplier relationships of high risk or complexity with significant impact to the business strategy. They will partner with business stakeholders to execute sourcing strategies, conduct sourcing lifecycle efforts, lead negotiations, and deliver value through cost optimization, risk mitigation, and alignment with business objectives.
In this role, you will:
- Lead end-to-end sourcing lifecycle activities for complex or high-risk supplier engagements, including intake, strategy, RFx execution, supplier evaluation, negotiation, contracting, and implementation support.
- Partner with business stakeholders, Supplier Management, Third Party Risk Management, Legal, and Finance to align sourcing decisions with business objectives, policy expectations, and risk requirements.
- Develop and execute sourcing approaches that optimize cost, mitigate risk, improve supplier performance, and support business and category objectives.
- Lead competitive sourcing events, supplier communications, proposal evaluations, scorecards, and award recommendations.
- Negotiate commercial, operational, governance, and risk-related terms while balancing value, speed, stakeholder needs, and enterprise risk tolerance.
- Coordinate contract development and execution to ensure agreements include required corporate terms, service requirements, regulatory expectations, and appropriate risk protections.
- Drive stakeholder alignment throughout the sourcing lifecycle to support sourcing strategy, supplier selection, negotiation decisions, and timely execution of sourcing events.
- Provide guidance and subject matter expertise to less experienced sourcing professionals, contract analysts, and business partners.
- Track and communicate sourcing progress, value delivery, risk considerations, and implementation readiness.
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of Sourcing, Procurement experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.
Desired Qualifications:
- Fundamental understanding of contract terms and conditions, including a minimum of five (5) years' experience drafting, reviewing, and interpreting contracts
- Comprehensive sourcing and contract negotiation experience with suppliers in one or more of the following categories: technology (e.g. software, SaaS, public, and private cloud), fraud, and financial services industry related products and services
- Experience negotiating contracts and sourcing for a large complex organization in a highly regulated environment
- Strong commercial and financial acumen
- Ability to project manage sourcing efforts, including strong stakeholder management across Legal, Risk, Technology, Finance, and senior business leaders.
- Benchmarking and analysis capabilities
- Proficiency with Ariba, RFx processes, benchmarking, and spend analysis
- Ability to quickly establish credibility to build and maintain effective working relationships
- Proficient time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
- Advanced analytical skills and high attention to detail
Job Expectations:
- This position offers a hybrid work schedule of three (3) days in the office and two (2) days working remotely
- This position is not eligible for VISA sponsorship

Pay Range
Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to demonstrated examples of prior performance, skills, experience, or work location. Employees may also be eligible for incentive opportunities.
$100,000.00 - $179,000.00
