Description
Support Equities Global Clearing by delivering end-to-end cleared margin operations across F&O and OTC cleared derivatives.Drive a strong client experience and control discipline across collateral movements, margin settlement, funding, FX, and reconciliations.
As a/an Cleared Margin Client Service & Treasury Operations Analyst within Equities Operations - Global Clearing Operations, you support Futures & Options and OTC Cleared Derivative products by settling margin and collateral movements across cash, securities, and letters of credit. You manage client margin requests, fund exchange accounts, process FX, and resolve breaks while ensuring timely settlements with clients, exchanges, and Central Counterparties. You maintain a controlled environment by adhering to procedures, supporting audits and investigations, and driving continuous improvement and STP initiatives with global partners.
Job Responsibilities
- Manage client collateral and monitor movements across cash and non-cash collateral, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
- Respond to client margin settlement requests by comparing requested movements to exposure and agreeing required amounts and eligible assets.
- Settle margin obligations with exchanges, clients, and Central Counterparties, following up on failed settlements to closure.
- Fund exchange cash accounts and process client FX transactions to support margin and settlement requirements.
- Prevent payment-driven deficits by monitoring balances and coordinating resolution of counterparty issues and settlement breaks.
- Reconcile positions and cash/collateral records, resolve discrepancies, and support reporting and root-cause analysis.
- Improve processes by maintaining/updating procedures, supporting audits/investigations, and participating in STP and complex change initiatives.
Required qualifications, skills and capabilities
- 2+ years operations experience in OTC derivatives, Futures & Options, or similar products
- Working knowledge of client service, cash funding, global settlements, and reconciliations in a controlled environment
- Strong analytical/problem-solving skills with high accuracy and attention to detail; strong proficiency in Excel and core systems
- Strong communication skills and ability to work to strict deadlines under pressure with proactive risk identification and challenge mindset
Preferred qualifications, skills and capabilities
- Experience developing client service offerings and driving process improvements across clearing/margin operations
- Familiarity with collateral types (cash, securities, letters of credit) and non-cash collateral settlement workflows
- Experience supporting audit requests, operational investigations, and procedure governance (SOP updates, control adherence)
- Interest or hands-on exposure to digital automation tools such as Alteryx
