Director of Public Affairs- Community Development and Marketing & Communications

MCE provides renewable, locally controlled electricity service and cutting-edge energy programs to more than one million residents and businesses in 37 Bay Area communities across four counties: Marin, Napa, Contra Costa, and Solano. MCE offers more renewable energy compared to PG&E at stable and competitive rates, significantly reducing greenhouse gas emissions and reinvesting millions of dollars in local energy programs. We are helping to solve the climate crisis and creating equitable, environmental, and economic community benefits.  We are proud to be the first program of our kind in California and have been operational since 2010.

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Education and or experience is equivalent to a Bachelor’s Degree in communications, public administration, environmental planning, business, marketing, or a related field plus.
  • Nine (9) years of progressively responsible experience in a supervisory or management role in the field of public affairs or in a closely related field.
  • Successful experience working with diverse communities and vulnerable customers
  • Make effective and dynamic presentations to community groups, governmental bodies, the MCE Board, and staff to achieve desired results.
  • Email marketing platforms such as Constant Contact and Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
  • Experience with research and statistical methods as applied to the collection, tabulation, and analysis of data.

Compensation & Benefits

The competitive compensation package offered, is based on candidate experience. Director of Public Affairs starting salary range: $157,711 – $211,941 along with generous benefits and perks, including fully paid premiums for health insurance, parental leave, dependent care subsidies, student loan repayment, employee wellness program.
