Your Job:

The Financial Consultant (Accountant) will be assigned to work with a variety of clients from both CSBM and FOREsight. The Financial Consultant (Accountant) role serves as an accountant for our clients and requires strong communication skills, project management skills, being organized and team oriented. The Financial Consultant (Accountant) is the day-to-day point person for multiple clients and maintains financial data for each client.

Although the scope of work is different at every client, the Financial Consultant (Accountant) will be responsible for performing Accounting and Bookkeeping level activities as well as other tasks and duties outlined below.

 

Your Duties:

  1. Reconciles financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
  2. Recommends financial actions by analyzing accounting options.
  3. Provides financial information to management by researching and analyzing accounting data; assist with preparing reports.
  4. Use accrual accounting for entries including accurate dates and clear descriptions.
  5. Maintains client confidence by keeping financial information confidential.
  6. Manage A/P and A/R functions.
  7. Prepares payments by verifying documentation and requesting disbursements.
  8. Substantiates financial transactions by quality checking financial documents.
  9. Maintains accounting controls by adhering to policies and procedures and escalating and recommending process improvements.
  10. Keep accurate records of all financial transactions.
  11. Manage and track income expenses related to all contracts and grants, including federal entitlements.
  12. Complete audit schedules.
  13. Process payroll in accounting platform in a timely manner.
  14. Research documentation discrepancies with client and/or vendors.
  15. Ability to work with multiple clients both virtually and on-site as required (on-site work will be conducted in accordance with our applicable safety guidelines)

You Should Know:

  1. Microsoft Office 365 with strong knowledge of Excel.
  2. Bill.com, Anybill.
  3. QuickBooks, Intacct, FundEZ or similar accounting software.
  4. Payroll Management Software (ADP, Paychex, or similar).

While the ability to travel to client locations and to work onsite with clients is an essential part of the Accountant position, we are allowing some flexibility for team members to work virtually to the extent possible through 2021.  



Requirements

Your Education & Experience:

  1. Bachelor’s degree required.
  2. 4+ years of accounting and bookkeeping experience.
  3. Prior experience as a consultant working with multiple clients and projects is a plus.
  4. Prior experience working in a non-profit, school or socially responsible organization is a plus.
